Something that is becoming more and more popular recently is Television Art Displays with Custom Frames. For this art project the customer wanted five average-size TVs mounted in the lobby area of the building. The TVs each had custom wooden frames to hide access wires and securely lock the TVs to the wall. As you can see in the pictures, there are three vertical and two horizontal TVs in the collage. With a couple minor adjustments on the back of the TV mounts, we were able to switch the orientation of the mounts to match the desired grouping. Once we mounted the TVs, we were ready to install the wooden frames.
The interesting part about this project was troubleshooting the installation of the custom wooden frames. Although they are just decorative, we treated the frames as if they were security art: After carefully fitting the frames over each TV, we marked each frame for security hardware and attached two clips at the top and a T-bolt at the bottom to secure the frames and the TVs to the wall. Not only do the frames look great around the illuminated televisions but now they are also locked into place.
