Hanging Art with Piano Wire
Foster’s Art installation went to Spicewood, Texas to install two original paintings for a client. Our client wanted his two paintings hung on the back of his beautiful custom-made kitchen cabinetry. He didn’t want to damage the cabinets with art-hanging hardware so we decided the best solution was to use piano wire and suspend them from the top.
Piano wire is very low profile wire with very high tensile strength. It’s ideal for hanging artwork because it can hold a lot of weight and it’s almost invisible as you can see in the photos. Using the piano wire we were able to attach hanging hardware to the top of the cabinet, where it couldn’t be seen and without causing any damage to the wall. Then by adjusting the length of the piano wire, we were able to install the paintings at the perfect height and placed exactly where our client wanted them. We’re humbled to have another satisfied customer!
